June 17th: 5th Meeting
Thanks to our Senior Warden for the food (“if it’s good, I made it; if it’s not, it’s catered”—it was good).
We heard reports from working groups on 1) parish financial projections, 2) tri-fold brochure, 3) website improvements, 4) timeline.
Starting with text drafted by two members, we made excellent progress on the content of the brochure, which will be divided into the following sections: Who we are/Parish vision/History/Buildings & Grounds/Core Values/Ministry/Rector Profile. In addition to describing our spiritual life in an inviting way, it will state duties and expectations for the new priest more concisely than the official job description.
While Tanya made an emergency run to secure more supplies, several committee members puzzled over how to mount the timeline in the fellowship hall. Our efforts seem to have been crowned with success!
Still on schedule to submit materials to the diocese on time.
